Our client, a leading manufacturer of construction chemicals and building solutions, is seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining high quality and safety standards, optimizing plant performance, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
Candidates must have a proven track record in the construction chemicals, building materials, or related manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all factory operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational objectives are achieved.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and optimize manufacturing costs.
Oversee production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), quality, and regulatory standards across all plant operations.
Lead, mentor, and develop production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams to deliver high performance.
Monitor operational KPIs, prepare management reports, and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance.
Collaborate with senior management to support business growth, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
8 - 10 years' experience in manufacturing within the construction industry
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior factory, plant, or operations management role.
Strong knowledge of production planning, process manufacturing, industrial automation, quality systems, and maintenance management.
Proven experience managing factory operations, production budgets, cross-functional teams, and continuous improvement projects.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
