Job Summary




  • We are seeking a results-driven and self-motivated Business Development Officer (Credit Sales) to drive loan portfolio growth by identifying and acquiring qualified borrowers, promoting the company’s credit products, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring high-quality loan performance.



Key Responsibilities




  • Identify and acquire new customers for the company’s credit/loan products.

  • Promote and market loan products to individuals, SMEs, and corporate clients.

  • Achieve monthly sales and disbursement targets.

  • Conduct customer profiling and preliminary credit assessments.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Follow up on loan applications and coordinate with the credit team to ensure timely processing and disbursement.

  • Monitor customer loan performance and support collections to minimize delinquency.

  • Cross-sell other financial products and services offered by the company.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and credit procedures.



Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in credit sales/operation in a financial service, organisations (e.g., MFBs, Finance Companies)



Skills & Competencies:




  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good understanding of lending principles and credit processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
