Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Officer to manage stock levels, track materials, and ensure efficient inventory control across the production and retail units.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and properly document all incoming inventory (fabrics, trims, accessories, finished goods).
- Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems and manual logs where applicable.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment requests to avoid production delays.
- Issue materials to production staff based on approved requisitions and production schedules.
Stock Control & Reconciliation:
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
- Investigate and report discrepancies, damages, shortages, or losses.
- Ensure proper labelling, categorization, and storage of inventory items.
- Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In-First-Out) inventory practices.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Maintain proper documentation for stock movement, transfers, returns, and write-offs.
- Provide inventory data to management for production planning and budgeting.
Compliance & Store-keeping:
- Ensure inventory storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Support audits and internal checks when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related fields
- 1–3 years experience in inventory or store management (fashion industry experience is an added advantage)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
