Job Overview
- The QAQC Officer ensures quality assurance and quality control during the inspection, testing, and documentation of valve assembly processes in compliance with international and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and completed valves.
- Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and seat leakage tests.
- Verify dimensional and visual inspections.
- Review and approve inspection records.
- Prepare quality dossiers and test certificates.
- Maintain calibration and traceability records.
- Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and client specifications.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain overall QA/QC documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic Background: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, Geology, or IT.
- Years of Experience: 2 to 10 years.
- Certification: HSE Level 1-3.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification (Advantage).
- ASNT Level II (VT/PT/MT) (Advantage).
- Knowledge of API 510/570/598 (Advantage).
- Coating Inspection certification, such as AMPP or NACE Level 1 (Advantage).
Key Competencies and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of industrial valves and valve components.
- Valve inspection, quality control, and pressure test witnessing.
- Review of inspection and test reports, and dimensional inspection.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of API, ASME, and ISO standards.
- Documentation, traceability, and root cause analysis.
- Good communication skills and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
