Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare valve surfaces by abrasive blasting and masking.

  • Carry out abrasive blasting and industrial painting of valves.

  • Mix paint correctly and apply primer and topcoat.

  • Measure Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT).

  • Maintain workshop equipment and handle housekeeping duties.

  • Perform paint touch-up and preservation before dispatch.



Educational Qualifications and Certifications




  • OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Welding and Fabrication, or a related discipline is an advantage.

  • Trade Test, Vocational Training, or certification in Industrial Blasting and Painting or Automotive Spray Painting is an added advantage.

  • Candidates with O-Level qualifications who possess relevant practical experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, and industrial or automotive painting are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates should have a background in industrial valve blasting and painting, protective coatings, or automotive spray painting, with practical experience in surface preparation, paint application, and finishing.

  • Experience in the Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, or Automotive sectors is preferred. Target sectors include Oil and Gas, Automotive, and Power.

Core Competencies:




  • Surface preparation and abrasive blasting.

  • Industrial and/or automotive spray painting.

  • Operation of appropriate blasting and painting tools and equipment.

  • Paint mixing and coating application.

  • Wet Film Thickness (WFT) and Dry Film Thickness (DFT) measurement.

  • Interpretation of paint specifications and work instructions.

  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Documentation, teamwork, and strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) awareness.



Non-Negotiable Criteria:




  • Proven industrial valve blasting and painting or automotive spray-painting experience.

  • Strong HSE attitude and safe work practices.

  • Ability to read and understand paint specifications and work instructions.

  • Competence in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, paint application, and WFT/DFT measurement.

  • Good communication, teamwork, and housekeeping skills.
