The Role
As Executive Assistant to the CEO / Legal Officer, you will serve as the CEO's trusted office coordinator, legal adviser, project manager, and execution partner.
Your success will not be measured by how well you manage a calendar, organise an extremly disorganised boss and you will be measured by how much more effective the CEO becomes because you are part of the team.
You will help transform ideas into execution, ensure decisions are implemented, remove bottlenecks, coordinate people, manage priorities, anticipate problems before they arise, and provide legal guidance across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Office Management
- Manage an extremely dynamic executive calendar
- Coordinate meetings, travel, speaking engagements and executive priorities
- Prepare briefing notes before meetings
- Track key action items until completion
- Draft executive correspondence and presentations
- Ensure deadlines across multiple companies are achieved
- Act as the CEO's gatekeeper while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships
Legal & Commercial Support
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements
- Review client contracts and service agreements
- Advise management on legal and regulatory issues
- Coordinate external solicitors where required
- Support dispute resolution and contract administration
- Maintain statutory and corporate governance records
- Conduct legal research for strategic decisions
- Ensure legal compliance across the Group
Strategic Execution
Work directly with the CEO on:
- New business opportunities
- Strategic partnerships
- Mergers and acquisitions support
- Investment opportunities
- Business expansion projects
- Special executive assignments
- Market research
- Competitor intelligence
- Executive reports and board papers
Project Coordination
Coordinate high-impact strategic initiatives by:
- Following up with executives
- Monitoring deliverables
- Tracking milestones
- Escalating bottlenecks
- Preparing progress dashboards
- Driving accountability across departments
Business Development Support
- Participate in proposal development
- Assist with contract negotiations
- Coordinate client meetings
- Support strategic presentations
- Conduct due diligence on prospective opportunities
- Prepare executive briefing documents
Governance & Board Support
- Prepare board papers
- Coordinate board meetings
- Record resolutions
- Track implementation of board decisions
- Maintain governance documentation
Executive Communications
- Draft speeches
- Prepare presentations
- Write executive correspondence
- Support thought leadership articles
- Prepare briefing notes
- Coordinate stakeholder communication
Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- LL.B and B.L. qualifications
- Qualified Legal Practitioner in Nigeria
- 3–5 years post-call experience
- Strong commercial law background
- Excellent drafting skills
- Outstanding written and spoken English
- Strong business writing ability
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, CANVA (especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
