We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal financial procedures.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain proper accounting records.
Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts while maintaining accurate documentation.
Assist in payroll preparation and statutory deductions where required.
Prepare monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
Assist during internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar ERP systems).
Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory remittances is an added advantage.
