The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical systems, industrial machinery, and production equipment.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in industrial electrical systems and be capable of minimizing machine downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial production equipment.
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on injection moulding, blow moulding, and auxiliary machines.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, drives, control panels, and automation equipment.
Ensure minimal production downtime by responding promptly to electrical breakdowns.
Maintain electrical panels, switchgears, transformers, generators, compressors, and distribution systems.
Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and company policies.
Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and spare parts requirements.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Supervise electrical technicians where necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automation, PLCs, motor control circuits, VFDs, and control panels.
Hands-on experience with injection moulding, blow moulding, or similar manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to production emergencies.
Good understanding of occupational health and electrical safety standards.
