Job Summary
- The Fraud Investigation Officer is responsible for investigating suspected fraudulent activities, identifying fraud trends, supporting fund recovery efforts, and recommending control improvements to minimize fraud losses and protect the organization and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate fraud cases and determine appropriate outcomes based on available evidence.
- Analyze transaction patterns to identify fraud trends and emerging risks.
- Document investigation findings and maintain accurate case records.
- Support fund recovery efforts by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases in a timely manner.
- Recommend process and control improvements based on investigation findings.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, Compliance, Customer Support, and other stakeholders to resolve fraud-related issues.
- Ensure investigations are completed within agreed service levels (SLAs).

- Investigation turnaround time (TAT).
- Cases resolved within SLA.
- Investigation quality and accuracy.
- Fraud trends identified and reported.
- Fund recovery success rate.
- Quality of investigation documentation and recommendations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 2–4 years of experience in fraud investigations, banking, fintech, or a related risk function.
- Knowledge of digital payment fraud, transaction analysis, and fraud investigation techniques is an advantage.
