- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing company.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills, excellent inventory/stock management knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- This role is best suited for candidates who understand manufacturing operations, inventory costing, stock reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers.
- Manage daily accounting transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory records with physical stock.
- Track raw materials, finished goods, and production inventory.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and investigate stock variances.
- Assist in inventory valuation and cost accounting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Process payroll and statutory deductions where applicable.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare tax schedules and ensure timely statutory remittances.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to improve inventory accuracy and financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' accounting experience in a manufacturing company (Mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of inventory/stock management and stock reconciliation.
- Experience with manufacturing accounting and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
