Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced Utility Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance, utility equipment management, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability with minimal downtime.



Key Responsibilities




  • Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, generators, water treatment plants, and effluent treatment plants.

  • Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, lubrication plans, and equipment overhauls without disrupting production.

  • Monitor utility performance and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and process optimization.

  • Supervise and mentor utility technicians, ensuring adherence to maintenance procedures and best practices.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, and environmental standards across all utility operations.

  • Manage spare parts inventory and support procurement activities to ensure maintenance readiness.

  • Support the installation, commissioning, modification, and continuous improvement of utility and production equipment



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • COREN registration and membership of NSE or NIMechE is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing industrial utility systems within a manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, generators, water treatment plants, and effluent treatment systems.

  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
