The Blow Moulding Machine Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimal performance of blow moulding machines and related production equipment.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining industrial blow moulding machines while ensuring maximum machine uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on blow moulding machines.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Perform machine setup, changeovers, and routine servicing.
Ensure machines operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
Replace worn or damaged machine components promptly.
Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts usage.
Collaborate with production personnel to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
Observe all safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new blow moulding equipment.
Requirements
HND, BSC, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
NYSC or discharge certificate
Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience maintaining blow moulding machines in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of blow moulding machine operations and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
Ability to interpret machine manuals and technical drawings.
