Work Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday – Friday On-site | Monday & Saturday Remote as Required)

Work Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Salary: ₦250,000 Monthly



About the Role



Our client, a premium hospitality business based in Ikoyi, Lagos, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join its growing team.



This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about people, possesses operational excellence, and builds efficient HR systems within a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful candidate will support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, promote staff welfare, maintain accurate HR records, and oversee inventory documentation and store administration.

What You'll Be Responsible For

HR Administration & Employee Records




  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential employee records and personnel files.

  • Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, warning letters, and other HR documentation.

  • Maintain attendance, leave, probation, training, and performance records.

  • Prepare payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, approved deductions, gratuities, and other payroll information.

  • Monitor probation review schedules and coordinate performance review documentation.

  • Maintain employee emergency contact and next-of-kin records.

  • Ensure all HR documentation remains organized, confidential, and audit-ready.



Recruitment, Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle




  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding.

  • Facilitate employee induction and orientation programmes.

  • Coordinate employee confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit processes.

  • Manage employee clearance documentation and offboarding procedures.

  • Support workforce planning and staffing initiatives.



Employee Relations & Staff Welfare




  • Serve as the first point of contact for staff welfare matters and employee concerns.

  • Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and disciplinary processes.

  • Maintain disciplinary records and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).

  • Foster positive employee relations while ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Coordinate staff engagement, welfare initiatives, and employee communication.



Inventory & Store Administration




  • Support inventory documentation across operational departments.

  • Supervise inventory received and issued against approved requisitions.

  • Monitor weekly inventory counts and assist with monthly stocktakes.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and prepare reports.

  • Monitor minimum stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.

  • Ensure stores remain organized, secure, and properly documented.



Compliance & Reporting




  • Prepare comprehensive monthly HR reports covering headcount, recruitment, attendance, leave utilization, probation reviews, staff welfare, disciplinary matters, training, payroll inputs, and turnover.

  • Prepare weekly inventory and operational reports.

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labour regulations, and internal procedures.

  • Collaborate with Administration, Procurement, and departmental managers to support operational efficiency.

  • Provide general administrative support across the business where required.



What We're Looking For

Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, or General Administration, preferably within hospitality, retail, or service industries.

  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, CIHRM, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

  • Good understanding of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR policies, payroll administration, and staff welfare.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory management, stock documentation, and store administration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
