This is a full-time, on-site role for an Intensive Care Trained Nurse based in Ikeja.
The nurse will provide continuous, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in the intensive care units, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing ventilators and other life-support equipment, and responding promptly to changes in patient status.
Daily responsibilities include implementing care plans in collaboration with physicians, documenting patient assessments and interventions, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds.
The role also involves educating patients and families about treatment and recovery, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and supporting emergency and surgical teams when critical care expertise is required.
Qualifications
Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Emergency Nursing, with demonstrated competence in acute care settings.
Advanced skills in Critical Care Nursing, including management of ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative intensive care.
Working knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine principles to collaborate effectively with physicians and the wider care team.
Valid nursing license and formal training or certification in intensive/critical care nursing.
Experience in a high-dependency or intensive care unit, preferably within a surgical or multispecialty hospital.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to ethical and safety standards.
