This is a full-time on-site role for a Livestock Officer based in Mbaise, Imo State. The Livestock Officer will be responsible for

• Investigating and analysing different management practices.


• Maintaining accurate production, breeding, treatment, and inventory records.


• Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all livestock units.


• Advising management on livestock expansion, productivity improvements, and best industry practices.


• Researching environmental conditions to determine their effect on the quality and quantity of animal products.


• Studing nutritional requirements of animals and nutritive values of animal feed materials.


• Devising more efficient feeding techniques.


• Identifying diseases and causes for concern and mitigating those risks immediately


• Spotting issues that may lead to mortality before they happen


• Researching parasite and disease control

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Animal Science or Farm Management.


• Must possess at least 3 years experience


• Must understand the dynamics of goat farming 


• Should have excellent communication and organizational skills


• Should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
