Job Description / Key Responsibilities Team Lead
Specific Tasks:
- Provide technical support in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Independent Monitoring.
- In collaboration with the M&E and Community Entry Officer and GIZ SEPIN-SUSI SP team, simplify and translate policy frameworks into user-friendly formats for diverse audiences.
- Support the rollout and socialization of social protection frameworks, policies and strategies/manual at state and community levels.
- Coordinate field activities including sensitization campaigns, workshops and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure interventions are inclusive, gender-sensitive, and responsive to vulnerable populations.
- Ensure integration of learning and adaptive management into programme implementation.
- Support the development of monthly and quarterly reports.
- Ensure alignment of programme activities with the consultancy assignment.
- Any other task that may be assigned to you by the Team Lead or the GIZ staff responsible for the consultancy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Work or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in social protection, programme management, governance, social policy, institutional strengthening or community-based development.
- Experience working in Borno/Northeast Nigeria and with government or international development partners is highly desirable.
- A Master's degree and proficiency in Hausa/Kanuri will be an added advantage.
- Ability to engage with community members, partners, government and other stakeholders in a respectful manner (essential).
- Initiative, flexibility, team spirit, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under time pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
- Computer literate and good level of numeracy
- Ability to speak Hausa Language is mandatory.
