Teaching & Instruction
- Teach physical fitness, health education, and wellness concepts.
- Instruct students on proper exercise techniques, body coordination, posture, and safety.
- Conduct physical activities, drills, sports training, and fitness routines.
- Use engaging teaching methods including games, sports, demonstrations, and fitness challenges.
Lesson Planning
- Prepare structured physical education and health lesson plans.
- Develop age-appropriate fitness activities and instructional materials.
- Tailor instruction based on students’ age, ability, and physical development.
- Introduce healthy lifestyle habits, nutrition basics, and personal hygiene education.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Assess students’ physical fitness levels, coordination, and participation.
- Identify physical development challenges and provide targeted support.
- Track and document student progress and fitness improvement.
- Give constructive feedback and plan remedial or adaptive activities when needed.
Classroom / Session Management
- Create a safe, energetic, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain discipline using positive reinforcement and teamwork values.
- Manage large or small groups effectively during physical activities.
- Ensure safety rules and injury prevention procedures are followed at all times.
Student Support & Development
- Help learners build physical strength, endurance, and confidence.
- Support students in preparing for sports competitions, fitness tests, and school events.
- Encourage lifelong healthy habits and active lifestyles.
Parent & Stakeholder Communication
- Report student fitness progress to parents or school administrators.
- Provide guidance to parents on how to encourage healthy habits at home.
- Participate in school meetings, health programs, and sports events when required.
Professional Responsibilities
- Stay updated on modern physical education and health training techniques.
- Use appropriate teaching tools (sports equipment, fitness trackers, instructional videos, etc.).
- Uphold professionalism and adhere to school policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certificate or training in Physical Education, Health Education, Sports Science, or related field.
- Experience teaching physical education or coaching (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of fitness, wellness, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
