Job Description

• They are recruiting for an experienced to join its finance team.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s tax compliance and supporting the finance team on tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT and other applicable tax returns.


• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance with relevant Nigerian tax laws and regulations.


• Reconcile tax ledgers, tax accounts and supporting schedules.


• Assist with tax audits, investigations and queries from tax authorities.


• Provide tax advice on business transactions and operational activities.


• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business.


• Support the preparation of tax computations and annual tax returns.


• Maintain proper tax documentation and records.


• Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors and relevant tax authorities where required.


• Identify tax risks and opportunities for improved tax efficiency.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in taxation, preferably within an FMCG environment.


• Experience working in a multinational company will be an added advantage.


• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.


• Strong understanding of VAT, WHT, PAYE and Companies Income Tax.


• Excellent analytical, numerical and reconciliation skills.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Those writing professional exams are encouraged to apply .


• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or ANAN will be an advantage.
