Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Inventory Manager to oversee stock management across the company's operations.
- The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory records, proper stock movement, timely stock counts, and effective control of inventory losses and discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all stock received, sold, transferred, returned, or damaged.
- Receive and verify products against invoices and delivery documents.
- Monitor stock levels across branches and ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Track and document inter-branch stock transfers.
- Identify and investigate stock shortages, excesses, damages, and discrepancies.
- Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete products.
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for Management.
- Ensure proper storage and organisation of products.
- Work with the Accountant and Branch Managers to reconcile inventory and sales records.
- Implement measures to reduce stock losses, theft, damages, and revenue leakage.
- Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions.
- Support inventory audits and other stock-related activities.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory record accuracy.
- Reduction in stock shortages and unexplained variances.
- Timely completion of stock counts and reports.
- Accuracy of stock transfers and adjustments.
- Reduction in damaged, lost, and obsolete stock.
- Proper documentation of inventory transactions.
- Compliance with inventory procedures and controls.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in inventory, stock control, warehouse, or retail operations.
- Experience in electronics or multi-branch retail is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and stock reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Strong numerical, organisational, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
