Job Description

• Enugu Air Limited is seeking a vigilant, proactive, and detail oriented Safety Officer to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).


• The successful candidate will assist in monitoring safety performance, identifying hazards, investigating incidents, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with approved safety procedures and applicable aviation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and administration of the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).


• Monitor operational activities to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and potential safety risks.


• Conduct routine safety inspections, observations, and audits across operational areas.


• Assist in identifying, assessing, and documenting safety hazards and risks.


• Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, occurrences, and safety-related events.


• Prepare and maintain accurate safety reports, records, and investigation documentation. 


• Escalate significant or urgent safety issues to the Safety Manager or designated management personnel.


• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.


• NYSC discharge certificate or exemption certificate is required.


• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in aviation safety, occupational health and safety, quality assurance, compliance, or a related field.


• Experience in an airline, airport, MRO, or other aviation environment is an added advantage.


• Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting.


• Familiarity with NCAA regulations and applicable ICAO safety standards is an advantage.


• Relevant aviation safety, SMS, occupational health and safety, or risk management certification is an added advantage.
