Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong experience managing projects within the banking and/or financial services sector.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects from initiation through completion while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- The successful candidate should have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent project execution capabilities, and the ability to work effectively across business, technology, operations, and other functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver projects from initiation to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope, budget, and quality standard
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
- Identify potential project challenges and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper project documentation, governance, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant banking, financial services, regulatory, and organisational requirements where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of proven project management experience.
- Previous experience working within banking, fintech, financial services, or related financial institutions is required.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, preferably Agile and/or Waterfall.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong stakeholder and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project management certification.
- Experience delivering technology, digital transformation, ERP, core banking, payments, or other financial services projects.
- Experience working with senior management, technology teams, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.
