Job Summary
- The Technical Assistant provides strategic, operational and analytical support to the Managing Director by coordinating cross-functional initiatives, tracking business performance, preparing executive reports and ensuring timely execution of strategic priorities across the organization.
- The role serves as the coordination hub between Management, Operations, Credit, Finance, Compliance and Business Development, ensuring that business decisions are translated into measurable actions.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, executive decisions, and action plans assigned by the Managing Director to ensure timely execution across the organization.
- Prepare high-quality executive reports, presentations, briefing notes, management dashboards, and other decision-support materials for Management and the Board.
- Monitor departmental performance against approved KPIs and strategic objectives, analyse business performance trends, and escalate key risks, challenges, and opportunities requiring executive attention.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects by tracking implementation timelines, facilitating collaboration across departments, and ensuring timely resolution of execution bottlenecks.
- Conduct business, market, and competitor research to support strategic planning, business growth initiatives, product development, and executive decision-making.
- Review operational processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, governance, and service delivery across the business.
- Support the implementation of corporate policies, strategic initiatives, and organizational change programmes while monitoring compliance with approved management directives.
- Coordinate executive and operational meetings, document resolutions, maintain accurate records of management decisions, and follow up on agreed action items.
- Monitor regulatory obligations, support internal audit and compliance activities, and coordinate the timely submission of executive and regulatory reports.
- Prepare periodic reports on strategic initiatives, operational performance, project status, and organizational priorities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- 2–3 years in strategy, operations, management consulting, executive support or financial services.
- Experience in a regulated financial institution is preferred.
