Summary
- As part of our commitment to delivering high quality, child centred education, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Year 4 Teacher to join our team.
Key Responsibilties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the British curriculum and the school’s educational standards.
- Creating a stimulating, inclusive and well managed classroom environment.
- Differentiating instruction to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of pupils.
- Monitoring, assessing and documenting pupils’ academic and personal development.
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management, discipline and pupil engagement.
- Developing pupils’ critical thinking, creativity, communication and problem solving skills.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders to support pupil progress.
- Participating actively in school activities, clubs, events and extracurricular programmes.
- Integrating technology and appropriate teaching resources into classroom instruction.
- Supporting the school’s Christian ethos and contributing to the development of pupils’ character and values.
- Maintaining accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, pupil progress and other required documentation.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an A List University, with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division (2:1).
- A recognised teaching qualification or degree in Education will be an advantage.
- Valid TRCN certification is compulsory.
- Completion of NYSC is compulsory.
- 3 to 4 years’ teaching experience in a reputable school or educational institution.
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the British curriculum.
- Demonstrable experience teaching pupils at the Year 4/Key Stage 2 level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Strong digital literacy and ability to integrate technology into teaching.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- A genuine passion for teaching, learning and child development.
