Online Foodstuff Store Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to lead and head our Finance Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash-flow management, regulatory compliance, and sound financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Finance Department and provide effective direction to the finance team.
Oversee the company’s day-to-day financial operations, including payables, receivables, cash management, and reconciliations.
Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
Monitor cash flow and ensure effective management of the company’s financial resources.
Establish, maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
Oversee bank reconciliations, vendor balances, customer accounts and other financial reconciliations.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
Provide management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Identify financial risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for cost optimization.
Work closely with other departments to ensure proper financial planning and accountability.
Supervise, mentor and develop members of the Finance Department.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of the company’s financial information.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with significant experience in a finance/accounting leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, taxation and financial controls.
Experience managing and developing a finance team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
