Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Hold overall accountability for the project across all dimensions: programme, cost, quality, safety, client relationship, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client at project director level; attend all client meetings and ensure client satisfaction is actively managed throughout the project
- Chair the weekly project review meeting and review all programme reports before issue to the client
- Make final decisions on all design, commercial, and programme matters escalated from the project team
- Approve all change orders, major procurement decisions, subcontract awards, and consultant appointments
- Ensure the project is delivered within the agreed budget and programme
- Recruit, lead, and develop the CDL project team; build a team culture of accountability, professionalism, and delivery
- Manage all regulatory relationships through appointed consultants
- Report project status, risks, and financial performance to CDL's Managing Director monthly
- Institutionalise learnings from this project into CDL's construction division for application on future projects

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred
- Minimum 18 years of experience in the construction industry, of which at least 8 years in a project director or equivalent senior leadership role
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments in Nigeria, with preference for Lagos State
- Deep familiarity with the Lagos regulatory environment and relevant utility authorities
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-block residential projects on time and within budget
- Experience managing Design and Build contracts and multi-disciplinary consultant teams
- Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), or equivalent professional body is an advantage; COREN registration is beneficial.
