Job Summary




  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Financial Analystto support financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and business analysis.

  • The successful candidate will assist in analysing financial data, preparing reports and forecasts, monitoring financial performance, and providing insights that support informed business decisions.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

  • Analyse financial data, trends, and variances to identify business opportunities, risks, and areas requiring attention.

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of financial models, forecasts, and management reports.

  • Monitor departmental expenses and assist in ensuring compliance with approved budgets.

  • Perform financial reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

  • Assist with cash flow monitoring, expense analysis, and other financial performance reviews.

  • Gather, validate, and analyse financial and operational data from relevant departments.

  • Prepare presentations, dashboards, and reports for management review.

  • Work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Operations teams to obtain and validate financial information.



Requirements




  • HND / BSc Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, finance, or a related role.

  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, PivotTables, and reporting.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly.
