About the Role




  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee (Environmental Specialist) to join our environmental services team.

  • The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to environmental consulting, field inspections, environmental sampling, laboratory-related activities, environmental data analysis, compliance monitoring and technical report preparation.

  • This role is suitable for a graduate who has a strong interest in Chemistry and Environmental Services and is willing to learn, work both in the office and in the field, and develop a professional career in environmental consulting.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist with environmental assessments, inspections and field studies.

  • Support environmental sampling, data collection and analysis.

  • Assist with laboratory activities and environmental monitoring.

  • Support environmental reporting, audits and compliance documentation.

  • Assist with ETP monitoring and other environmental consultancy projects.

  • Prepare and maintain project records, reports and other technical documentation.

  • Support the Environmental Specialist and project team in client and field assignments.



Requirements




  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science, Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Environmental Biology, Health Education or a related field.

  • Candidates must have a strong Chemistry-related academic background.

  • NYSC completion is required.

  • Computer literacy is mandatory, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Good communication, analytical and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate environmental data.

  • Willingness to participate in fieldwork, environmental inspections, sampling and site assignments.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong interest in environmental consultancy, compliance, pollution control and sustainability.

  • Previous internship or practical experience in an environmental, laboratory or related setting is an advantage.
