Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manages contracting strategy, contractor qualification, bid slates, tenders, and proposal evaluations
- Develops Contracting Plans, ITT packages, and maintains correspondence databases for final proposals
- Leads or supports negotiations, conforms contract documents, and obtains functional reviews (Law, Audit, Controllers)
- Provides commercial analysis, assists in obtaining Sr. Management award approvals, and builds contract files
- Leads internal and external kick-off meetings to review terms, change orders, and claims avoidance
- Leads Contract Administration, reviews contractor plans, and expedites commercial documents (insurance, guarantees, LOCs)
- Coordinates contractual correspondence, document registers, invoicing approval, and the change control process (MOC, logs)
- Oversees contractor subcontracting activities, mitigates administration issues, and tracks performance
- Measures contractor performance, captures lessons learned, and develops the Contract Close Out Plan and settlement agreements.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree in Engineering preferred
- Experience in Contracts Engineering / Administration preferred
- Previous experience in a closely related position required
- Experience in commercial negotiations, contractor management and contract administration
- Broad understanding of project execution and contracting principles, theories, and concepts
- Willing to business travel or relocate to project sites (domestic / overseas)
- Owner/Operator experience in project management roles preferred
- Professional qualification / certification from related professional body, (ISM – CPM / CPSM, APICS, PMP).
