- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead and oversee our innovative team, manage project implementation, and drive fundraising efforts to achieve our goal.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for Overseeing the entire day to day operations of the organization and its resources within the agreed budget to realize the goals set out by the Board.
Principal Accountabilities
Financial:
- Supervise timely preparation of budgets and other financial reports by the accountant.
- Carry out fundraising efforts with only highest ethical standard
- Research individuals, corporations, and foundations, strategies and execute fundraising campaigns
Administrative:
- Assist in preparing organization’s plan.
- Assist in the review, recommendation, development and maintenance of existing structures in the organization.
Human Resource:
- Identify human resource needs and fill vacancies not more than a week after position is vacant.
Trainings & induction:
- Scheduling of duties for all staff and supervision
Child Wefare:
- Carry out monthly assessment, review, recommendation and implementation of approved standards for children
- Liaise with Management and external consultant to oversee and monitor implementation of all matters pertaining to adoption and fostering as recommended and approved by management.
Management:
- Quarterly briefing of members
- Bi-Annual briefing of the board
Coordination of Projects and Events:
- Create project management calendars annually
- Maintaining and monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, income and expenditure.
- Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholders’ meetings.
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Works, Business Administration, Education or any related discipline
- Advanced degree, MBA or certifications in child welfare, non-profit management, or similar fields is an advantage
- 5 - 7 years of management experience in a social welfare organisation, children’s home, an educational, non-profit or medical institution required
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and managing donors ‘relationship
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building and staff development
- Knowledge of legal and regularity frameworks affecting children’s homes in Lagos.
