Description

• We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Supervisor to oversee Health, Safety and Environmental activities across our field and operational locations within the oil and gas upstream servicing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices across field and operational activities.


• Conduct HSE inspections, risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA/JHA), toolbox meetings, and safety observations.


• Monitor compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, working-at-height, confined space, lifting, and other critical safety requirements.


• Ensure personnel, equipment, and work locations comply with applicable HSE standards and client requirements.


• Participate in incident, near-miss, and accident investigations and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.


• Monitor emergency preparedness, drills, firefighting arrangements, environmental controls, and waste management practices.


• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, statistics, and performance trackers.


• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and other site-based HSE awareness activities.


• Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies on HSE matters where required.


• Monitor the proper use, inspection, and availability of PPE and other safety equipment.


• Provide regular HSE reports and recommendations to management and operational teams.


• Support HSE audits, inspections, mobilisations, and project start-up activities.


• Perform other HSE-related duties as may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 6 years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably within an oil & gas servicing, drilling, well services, engineering, construction, or related environment.


• Relevant professional HSE certification(s) such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.


• Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE requirements and oil & gas industry safety practices.


• Experience with risk assessment, PTW systems, incident investigation, emergency response, and HSE reporting.


• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively in field/site environments and under operational pressure.


• Relevant oil & gas HSE certifications and client-specific training will be an added advantage.
