- Select and prepare appropriate pigs based on pipeline condition, diameter, configuration, and operating requirements.
- Coordinate pig launching and receiving activities.
- Review pipeline drawings, P&IDs, pigging procedures, line lists, and pipeline operating data.
- Verify pipeline readiness before pigging operations.
- Monitor pig movement, pressure, flow, and operating conditions during pig runs.
- Coordinate with pipeline operations, production, maintenance, engineering, inspection, HSE, and logistics teams.
- Troubleshoot pigging problems such as stuck, delayed, or failed pig runs.
- Ensure pigging activities are performed safely and according to approved procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed pigging programs, procedures, risk assessments, and work packs.
- Inspect and verify the condition and suitability of pigs before deployment.
- Confirm launcher and receiver traps are correctly prepared and safe for operation.
- Verify valves, vents, drains, bypasses, isolation points, and associated equipment before pig launch.
- Supervise pig loading, launching, tracking, receiving, and removal.
- Monitor pipeline pressure, flow rate, differential pressure, and other relevant operating parameters.
