About the Role
- The Engineering Store Supervisor is responsible for managing engineering spare parts and inventory to ensure continuous plant operations.
- The role focuses on maintaining critical spare availability, ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting maintenance activities, and preventing equipment downtime.
- The position also leads store personnel, enforces safety and 5S standards, drives continuous improvement, and ensures effective inventory control through Tally and other reporting tools.
- To be considered for this role, you must have relevant experience in supply chain operations in a related manufacturing organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- TheTeam Leaderwill meet with the value stream membersregularly. Reflecting on problems,solutionsand challenges, thereby creating a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leads the plant value stream(s) in daily operations and continuous improvements, which include but are not limitedto:supply chain, production control, manufacturingprioritiesand coordination between theshifts in the value stream.
- TheTeam Leader willassistthe Value Stream Leaderto create continuous product flow,utilizepullsystemsand to level the workload.
- Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work and processes are followed, needed adjustments areimplementedand the area is compliant with safety and 5S requirements.
- Identifycritical spares and ensure zero% stock out of all critical parts.
- Directactivities of team membersto ensure department production goals are met
- Fosterandforecastall sparesavailabilityto prevent machine downtime due tonon-availabilities
- Responsible for coaching,counselingand training team membersto foster ahigh-performancework team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND / Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Logistics or related technical field.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in technical/engineering warehousing, stocks control or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to predict inventory needs, calculate safety stock, and plan reorder points based on market trends.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, sharp attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity navigating enterprise software like SAP, tally etc.
- Member Affiliate professional bodies will be an added advantage.
- Responsible for recording,analyzing and reporting all inventory(SAP and Excel) data
- Toconductandmonitorinspection ofall spares, properarrangein locationand Safety Checks, Controlsof bin cards.
- Reportany unsafe, unclean areas or any problems that coulddamage any spares,
