Job Summary




  • We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented and commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to support the cost and commercial management of our real estate development projects.



Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

  • Carry out quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.

  • Analyse drawings and specifications for accurate measurement and costing.

  • Obtain and analyse current market prices for materials, labour and services.

  • Assist with tender preparation, evaluation and contractor selection.

  • Review contractors’ quotations and commercial proposals.

  • Monitor project costs against approved budgets.

  • Prepare valuations, payment certificates and cost reports.

  • Assess variations, claims and additional works.

  • Support procurement and contractor/vendor negotiations.

  • Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation.

  • Participate in site meetings and project reviews.

  • Assist with contract administration and final accounts.

  • Advise management on cost control and cost-saving opportunities.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

  • 2–5 years’ relevant experience in construction or real estate development.

  • QSRBN membership/registration is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and costs.

  • Good knowledge of BOQs, measurement, estimating and cost control.

  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.

  • Good knowledge of tendering and procurement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.

  • CostX, Buildsoft, AutoCAD or similar experience is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to visit project sites when required.
