- The Corporate Communications Executive is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that promote the organization’s corporate identity, reputation, values, products, and activities.
- The role involves managing internal and external communications, media relations, corporate content, stakeholder engagement, and digital communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate communication plans aligned with the organization’s business objectives.
- Draft, edit, and distribute corporate communications, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, official statements, reports, and internal memos.
- Manage internal communication channels to ensure employees receive timely, accurate, and relevant information.
- Support external communications and maintain positive relationships with journalists, media organizations, clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate media engagements, interviews, press conferences, corporate events, and public relations activities.
- Monitor media coverage and public perception of the organization and prepare regular media monitoring reports.
- Manage and create content for corporate websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Ensure consistency of the organization’s corporate identity, tone, messaging, and brand standards across all communication materials.
- Assist with crisis and issues management by preparing communication materials and supporting the implementation of crisis communication plans.
- Prepare speeches, talking points, presentations, briefing notes, and other communication materials for senior management.
- Coordinate corporate events, campaigns, employee engagement activities, and stakeholder communication initiatives.
- Conduct research on industry trends, public opinion, competitor communication activities, and emerging communication risks.
- Work closely with departments such as Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Executive Management to coordinate organizational messaging.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of media contacts, stakeholders, communication materials, and corporate records.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns and recommend improvements.
- Support corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, community relations, and reputation-management initiatives.
- Ensure all corporate communications comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- Professional certification in communications, public relations, or marketing is an advantage.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, journalism, or a related field.
