Responsibilities and Tasks

Fleet:



  • Assist the Logistics Officer for the follow-up of the rented cars and their pointing

  • Ensure all requested cars are in good state and running well.

  • Ensure the night driver and week-end drivers’ program are set up correctly

  • Assist the Logistics officer in PUI’s car movement follow-up

  • Hold monthly meetings with the drivers.

  • Follow up with Drivers to ensure their Driving license is valid and renewal is done before expiration.

  • Check Vehicle documents (Particulars) to ensure is valid and renewal is done in time to avoid embarrassment with authority.


Premises:



  • Regularly inspect PUI’s premises to assess what work is necessary

  • Inform his/her direct supervisor of any problems or breakdowns noticed in PUI’s premises

  • Carry out maintenance and small repairs on PUI’s premises and infrastructures (base, stock, warehouse, health centre, etc.)

  • Assist the Logistics officer for making sure all premises have security equipment (fire extinguishers, sand buckets…)

  • Ensure all doors have spare keys and store in the logistics keys cupboard

  • Ensure all walls have barbed wire and maintained in good state

  • Carry out interventions as indicated by his direct supervisor

  • Inform his/her direct supervisor in the event of an incapacity to carry out the work requested which requires the intervention of a worker or specialized technician

  • Assist workers or specialized technicians if needed

  • Supervise the guards and prepare their duty rooster.

  • Conduct regular meetings with the Guards to ensure work is going smoothly and for information sharing.

  • Will be going round all PUI facilities to help identify problems.


Documentation and Reporting:



  • Give daily report to the Logistics Officer about the progress of the logistics activities

  • Archive and centralize logistics files related to his/her domain

  • Update and share the monthly fire extinguisher follow-up

  • Update and record the vehicle, generator, and fuel follow-up regularly and send to the logistics officer monthly


Mandatory Requirements



  • Education Degree: University Degree or Higher National Diploma in a related field. Experience in logistics, engineering or any other professional qualification is an added advantage.

  • Work experience: A previous experience in technical work (carpentry, electricity, or plumbing) is mandatory. Previous experience in procurement and previous experience in NGO are an asset.

  • Language skills: English / Hausa / Kanuri is an asset

  • Knowledge and skills: Knowledge in Logistics procedures & Value Chain management is an asset

  • Computer skills: Pack Office and any other software

Salary

N280,000 - N371,000 monthly.
