Job Description
This position will be responsible for the strategic planning and direction of engineering activities and projects within the organization by guaranteeing that all engineering projects, initiatives and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Participates in the formulation of organization’s key strategic objectives
- Liaises with other Managers on the implementation of the Company’s strategic and operational plans
- Provides expert technical guidance for all engineering and construction initiatives
- Approves design, development and delivery schedules across the various work streams to ensure on time and on budget delivery
- Coordinates subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual conditions and performance
- Acquires equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Responsible for ensuring that tasks are delegated effectively and staff remain motivated to complete the project to a high standard
- Coaches construction and engineering staff and help to improve on their competencies
- Monitor progress, provide financial control and guarantee quality of project
