Responsibilities

• Controlling gas pressure by regulating gas flow into storage tanks


• Maintaining and repairing equipment such as compressors, pumps, meters, valves, and pipes


• Monitoring equipment operation to ensure it is operating safely


• Measuring levels of natural gas liquids in storage tanks and processing facilities


• Conducting safety inspections on equipment to determine if repairs are needed


• Adjust temperature, pressure, vacuum, level, flow rate, and/or transfer of gas to maintain processes at required levels or to correct problems.


• Calculate gas ratios to detect deviations from specifications, using the testing apparatus


• Test gas, chemicals, and air during processing to assess factors such as purity and moisture content, and to detect quality problems or gas or chemical leaks.

Job Requirements

• OND / HND qualification in any relevant field


• 1 – 2 years experience as Gas Plant Operator


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.


• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
