Job Description



  • This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing temples, headquarters, and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto CHRIST.


Responsibilities



  • Perform property search of properties (buildings, land for the church use), validate property cost, work with Office of the General Counsel (OGC)-Africa West Area to verify property titles and conclude property purchase and then register property.

  • Work with architects and other consultants to design and supervise construction of meetings houses and modeling of leased facilities to meet established standards.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other c applications- word, excel, power point, etc.

  • Responsible to keep and maintain accurate real estate and construction work records.

  • Very good level communication and reporting skills and abilities to maintain good relationship with customers and work staff.

  • Possess excellent negotiation skills


Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Real Estate, or Business-related field strongly preferred. Master’s Degree in this field will be added advantage.

  • Knowledge in construction/management and procedure, and real estate property management, construction procedures, business practices, safety, and fire codes

  • Exposure to front-line management skills in multi-discipline work environment.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with priesthood leaders, contractors, and vendors and colleagues.

  • Have strong negotiation skills and work with minimum supervisor.

  • Must be proactive and team player.

  • 3-5 years working experience in a similar/related field 

  • Must demonstrate expertise in real estate transactions, including site identification and analysis, negotiations, contracts, leases, site evaluations, appraisals, title reports, property closings and applicable governmental requirements.

  • Computer skills include advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English

  • Must be a member of the Church and worthy of a current temple recommend
