A logistics operations manager is be responsible for all operational activities of the company’s business and all its company employees including fleet management, security operations, internal and external controls and administration to ensure cash operations are managed in the most cost effective and secure way in line with company SOPs, policies and security guidelines
Logistics manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations this includes inventory, transportation, supply chain processes and other logistics specialists.
Responsibilities
Manage inventory as well as warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes.
Ensure maintenance of high level of security, control and performance standards adhering to SOPs, policies and guidelines prescribed by the company.
Control and maintain vehicle fleet and equipment to ensure compliance with Federal Government legislations and regulations.
Monitoring and measuring drivers’ indices – customer complaints, misdemeanors, obedience
Tracking history of spare parts replacement history & repair work per vehicle and other related assets.
Monitoring the Tracking of vehicular assets by region.
Monitoring and confirming the actual location status of vehicles after an incident or during repairs at third-party vendor workshops.
Maintenance of incidence management report on operational vehicles to mitigate against service downtime and revenue loss.
Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
Supervise activities of workers to ensure that they are hands-on in order to promote hard-work, which is needed for successful deliveries and completion of production tasks to meet clients’ demands and deadlines
Ensure that workers adhere to industry standards in dealing with clients, to promote rule of law.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, or Business Administration.
5+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation operations.
Skills:
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
Strong team player
Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software.
