Our client; a reputable firm in the PAINT Sector is looking to fill the role below


RESPONSIBLIITIES



  • Strategically manage warehouses in compliance with company’s policies and vision.

  • Setup warehouse for efficient space utilization.

  • Maintain metrics for quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency

  • Participate in meetings, and keep up to date on issues related to all shipments. (internal/external)

  • Logistics cost responsibility, like invoice verification of LSP services.

  • Logistics cost reduction analysis

  • Resolve issues by presenting various alternatives for decision at monthly S&OP meetings related to warehouses.

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy/cycle counting.

  • Responsible for shipments and look for ways to reduce costs.

  • Work with Sales, customer service and Manufacturing to improve timing of shipments to avoid/reduce expedite costs

  • Ensure Company is in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding transportation.

  • Check with staff for changes that could affect delivery schedule: make schedule adjustments as needed.

  • Travel back and forth to warehouse along with moving resources as needed.

  • Efficiently and effectively transfer materials from 3rd party warehouses within timeline set by Management team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent professional experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics Supply Chain Manufacturing

  • Experienced with SAP, GIB, and WMS

  • APICS certification preferred

  • Ability to handle supply logistics, supply chain and invoice

  • Excellent communication and Team building skills

  • Strong computer skills (Word/Excel/Access)

  • Has the resources to efficiently interact with multiple areas of the organization and at all levels
