Job Summary
- Responsible for receipt, storage, and issuance of spares and materials. Compile records of supply transactions and verify that supplies received are listed on requisitions and invoices.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Receipt:
- Interacts with suppliers on a daily or ad hoc basis to receive goods ordered by the Maintenance department.
- Interacts with the buyer or Maintenance Manager on an ad hoc basis, to resolve any problems relating to the receipt of goods from suppliers.
- Ensures the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, conditions of the materials received from vendors, OEM and third parties.
- Ensures incoming goods inspection protocols are strictly adhered to when receiving goods and that all relevant administration is completed.
- Record accurately all deliveries and departmental spares in the stock ledgers and balance daily to the standard required.
Storage:
- Responsible for ensuring that goods are properly stored after receipt.
- Maintain high level GMP, GHK and good spare parts store practice.
- Review and confirm on a regular basis that all storage procedures are adhered to and that regular reviews are completed.
- Stock the materials received from vendors properly to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling and maintenance.
Issuance:
- Review maintenance work-orders and notifications prior to spare parts issuance.
- Completes all relevant administration relating to spares issuance and adhere strictly to spare parts policy as approved by the organization.
- Verifies maintenance work-order or notification requirements are met before completing spares issuance.
- Process vendors/ OEM and third party GRN, Invoice, PO and SES’s to facilitate payment processing.
- Manage diesel requisitions, issuance, postings and maintain re-order levels.
- Accurate posting of all goods issued.
Stock Control:
- Review on a regular basis or at pre-determined intervals, stock control reports with 99.99% inventory accuracy.
- Develop a functional MRP inventory management system to maintain zero OOS on critical spares.
- Responsible for ensuring that stock levels are properly managed and replenished at re-order levels.
- Generates required stock reports, spare parts trackers and other inventory analysis as may be required.
Qualification and Experience
- BEng/ HND in any Engineering discipline or its equivalent.
- 4 - 5 years FMCG experience as an Engineering Storekeeper.
- Knowledge of part finding tools e.g., eCAT will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with ERPs such as SAP, CMMS.
- Maintenance planning experience will be an added advantage.
Functional Skills and Competency Requirements
- Experience in Storekeeping of Bottling line, production, and utility equipment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
