Job Description



Responsibilities:



  • Develop marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.

  • Analyse all Busha’s media coverage and draft appropriate responses.

  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high level placements in print, broadcast, and online media.

  • Develop and implement publicity strategies for Busha’s products and services.

  • Craft and pitch brand stories across a range of platforms, to promote company presence and improve engagement.

  • Manage Ambassador/Brand Influencer relationships.

  • Monitor corporate image frequently and ensure it is in compliance with company brand.

  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests.

  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.

  • Build and maintain relationships with a wide array of media personnel.

  • Develop and implement crises communications advice, and media strategy as needed.

  • Create content for press releases, by-line articles, and keynote presentations.

  • Develop talking points for management and employees as required.

  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an on-going basis.

  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.

  • Coordinate all public relations activities.

  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy regarding them.


The ideal candidate must have;



  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience

  • Proven work experience in public relations.

  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets

  • Strong problem solving, verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while achieving benchmarks.

  • Tech savvy with a strong online presence on one or more social networks.

  • Proven track record executing successful public relations campaigns at a local and national level.

  • Comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews

  • Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask.
