Role Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for managing our Social Media Accounts and related tools.


• Responsible for creating high-quality social media Content for a digital publication on Web3 including Blockchain Technology, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and the Crypto-economy.


• Draft / Review original posts and develop multimedia content (including animated videos, reels, memes etc) for our social media channels e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, CoinMarketCap Community, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.


• Actively engage with audiences on our social media accounts, e.g., responding to comments, shares, DMs, and creating polls, reshares, posts etc, in a timely manner.


• Serve as the Lead Community Manager for various channels (e.g. Telegram, Discord, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc), and respond to comments, DMs, etc.


• Build and maintain the brand’s presence across multiple social media channels. Display very high levels of professionalism and ensure consistent brand tone, voice, and feel.


• Research and curate trending news on Crypto, DeFi, Blockchain and Web3 (from credible sources), and share with the writers & editors for content development.


• Use analytics and SEO research to understand what our users want and seek to proactively fill gaps in the market. Relay relevant information back to the Editorial Team.


• Stay up to date with regulatory and public policy developments in the crypto space, including regulation and CBDCs.


• Proactively support the management team to develop the business, expand into new areas and build positive 3rd party relationships. Must join social media channels of blockchain firms and reach out to develop relationships.


• Repost snippets of our content on public directories like Medium, Discord & Quora.


• Developing and implementing digital marketing strategies, including social media advertising, email marketing, paid ads, display ads, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Pay Per Click (PPC).


• Liaise with external technology providers to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the platform, including the timely remediation of any problems.


• Publish Articles on the website and ensure proper use of tags, keywords, image SEO etc.


• Draft / Review posts for our social media channels. Repost snippets of web content on public directories like Medium & Quora.


• Liaise with the Graphic Designer to ensure professional images are created for DeFi Planet publications.

Requirements (Essential)

• Degree in a relevant area, e.g., English, Literature, Journalism, Marketing, Media, IT, etc.


• Native English speaker with excellent communication skills.


• At least 3 years’ experience in social media management, digital marketing, SEO, and content marketing.


• A good understanding of, or strong interest in, blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.


• An enthusiastic individual who is passionate about technology, innovation, blockchain, and the crypto economy.


• Impeccable attention to detail. You have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent organizational, project management, and operational qualities.


• Strong interest in understanding emerging technologies e.g. AI, data science, etc.

Desirable:

• Experience of working with WordPress.


• Experience in working for a Publication or Crypto/DeFi organisation.


• Experience and knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.


• Demonstrable experience in growing brand audiences in previously held positions.
