To produce and implement maintenance schedules for the engineering department, equipment, and container delivery, ensuring that all work is carried out to the Company’s standards to meet Production, Quality and Budgetary requirements.
Responsibilities
To fully implement maintenance schedules to ensure that all plants are fully maintained in optimum condition to ensure that company downtime reduction, plant reliability and OEE improvement are delivered on all lines.
To maintain and implement a planned maintenance system on all equipment with appropriate budgetary control.
Create a flexible maintenance plan, capable of adapting to changing production needs. Monitor and modify this plan as required.
Allocate maintenance work to engineering specialists and ensure feedback from them.
Identify training needs of direct reports and prepare plans to meet these needs.
Ensure correct spare parts stocking, necessary to ensure the operation of lines delivery equipment whilst keeping stock to a minimum.
Responsible for implementing all new Health & Safety legislation and ensuring adequate staff training on these matters.
Participate and contribute to Continuous Improvement (Professional Maintenance) and Zero Loss Activity.
Drive energy and care and maintenance cost reduction within the Lines.
Maintain effective relationships with manufacturing plant suppliers, OEM’s.
Develop with the OEM weekly maintenance and inspection schedules and annual planned maintenance (APM) programme.

Contribute to the health & safety of self and others by applying health and safety principles to the required standards whilst undertaking designated tasks.
