Job Description



  • Make a minimum of three (3) posts a day on each social media handle according to the approved timelines (Monday to Sunday)

  • Write, edit, and publish engaging posts for various social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Eventbrite, and other online social platforms

  • Respond to questions and comments on our social media pages in a timely and accurate manner

  • Network with clients and industry professionals by tagging them on posts and commenting on their posts (a minimum of 2 (two) clients and 2 (two) industry experts

  • Select and propose appealing images and videos to complement the text

  • Update our social media pages with compelling company and industry news

  • Track and report on social media insights (traffic, engagement, shares, conversion rates)

  • Provide constructive criticism to the content creator and webmaster to help them make improvements

  • Write brilliant and engaging blog posts for our website and email marketing efforts

  • Create a quarterly schedule for all posts going on social media including training and all approved activities (Timeline: 2nd week of the 1st Month in a quarter)

  • Have an up-to-date Social Media monthly calendar plan (Last week of the preceding month)


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field

  • 3 –5 years post NYSC proven work experience as a Social Media Copywriter or similar role, including previous roles in public relations, journalism, or marketing communications

  • Hands-on experience using various social media platforms to advertise

  • Solid knowledge of Sales-centric copy-writing, SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)

  • Familiarity with organic and paid online advertising

  • Basic knowledge of creating web content (text, canvas images, and simple video editing)

  • Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights

  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Google+

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills; Pro-active instincts; Good communication skills; poise and self-confidence; Computer application skills: [MS Office suite] 

  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop

  • Knowledge of UI/UX

  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas industry - desirable
