Job Responsibilities

The Logistics Manager will report to the GM Operations and will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the deployment of vehicles and equipment to support ongoing projects


• Providing and reviewing routes and schedules for optimal vehicle routing and operator scheduling


• Ensuring compliance with all applicable transportation laws, industry and international standards and practices


• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment of transport vehicles


• Developing, updating and managing compliance to the organization’s logistic policies, guidelines and procedures.


• Providing a framework for the maintenance and availability of vehicles and relevant equipment


• Preparation of consolidated budget statements, business activity reports and forecasts for management and external stakeholders.


• Researching trends in vehicle fleet management and recommending practices for adoption


• Deploying technologies to support distribution planning, vehicle tracking, maintenance management, etc.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.


• Membership of any internationally recognised logistics and transportation organisation


• Must possess up to 15 years of work experience, in transportation and logistics management including prior experience as a logistic manager, preferably in an engineering and construction company in the oil and gas sector.
