Job Description



Objective:


The primary objective of the Public Relations Specialist is to manage and enhance Sydani’s reputation by effectively communicating its key messages to the public, media, and other stakeholders. This role aims to promote a positive image and maintain a strong brand presence.


Responsibilities:


Strategic Communication:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with Sydani’s goals and objectives.

  • Identify target audiences and tailor messaging accordingly.

  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.


Media Relations:



  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with members of the media, journalists, and relevant industry influencers.

  • Develop and distribute press releases and media advisories.

  • Arrange interviews, press conferences, and media coverage for Sydani's events and announcements.

  • Monitor media coverage and prepare media reports for internal review.


Content Creation:



  • Supervise and create compelling and relevant content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates.

  • Ensure all content aligns with Sydani’s messaging and branding guidelines.

  • Responsible for the officers who manage Sydani’s social media accounts ensuring that they engage with followers and respond to comments and messages timely.


Crisis Management:



  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential issues and emergencies.

  • Serve as a spokesperson during crises, providing accurate and timely information to the public and media.

  • Work with relevant departments to manage and mitigate reputational risks.


Stakeholder Communication:



  • Identify and engage with Sydani key stakeholders, including clients, partners, vendors, and community members.

  • Develop and maintain communication channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.

  • Respond to inquiries and concerns from stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.


Event Management:



  • Plan and execute public relations events, such as announcements, press conferences, and community outreach programs.

  • Coordinate logistics, invitations, and media coverage for events.


Measurement and Analysis:



  • Track and analyze communication efforts to measure their effectiveness.

  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and makerecommendations for improvement.


Internal Communication:



  • Facilitate effective communication within and without Sydani by creating and distributing internal newsletters, memos, and announcements.

  • Assist in employee engagement initiatives and help convey the organization's vision and values to staff.


Reporting and Analysis:



  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of Sydani public relations campaigns.

  • Provide regular reports and analysis on media coverage, social media engagement, and other key performance metrics.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, or arelated field. Masters degree will be an added advantage

  • Proven experience in public relations and communications, preferably in a similar industry or organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. platforms.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in public relations.
