- As a Construction Engineer specializing in Oil & Gas, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Project Oversight: Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Project Planning: Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and plan ahead to prevent and resolve issues.
- Compliance: Monitor onsite and offsite constructions to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and direct construction workers, subcontractors, and various engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your technical expertise in Mechanical and Piping engineering to resolve technical issues related to your specialization.
- Contract Management: Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, obtain permits, and ensure contractual conditions are met.
- Risk Management: Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality construction standards and proper construction techniques are employed throughout the project.
- Progress Monitoring: Review daily work progress, maintain project documentation, and prepare internal and external reports.
- Supervision: Supervise various aspects of construction, including fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and material inspections.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, consultants, contractors, and local authorities as needed.
- Client Engagement: Maintain a strong client relationship, attend meetings, and address client requirements.
Requirements and Skills
For Construction Engineer (Oil & Gas):
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Mechanical discipline.
- 12 to 15 years of experience in construction supervision/management for Oil & Gas projects, including Oil Storage Terminals/Tanks.
- Proficiency in ASME Section II, IX, B31.3, B31.4, and API 650 codes.
- Strong communication and supervision skills.
- Experience working with engineering consultants in the Oil & Gas sector is an advantage.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, regulations, and quality standards.
