Responsibilities



  • The position holder will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operations of the logistics service delivery.

  • Ensures that all services are delivered according to client standards, clients’ specifications, and KPIs;

  • Handles pick-ups and deliveries according to clients’ SOP requirements and conducts audits of internal procedures;

  • Conducts necessary research with carriers (all modes) in order to respond adequately to client requests and, if necessary, seeks assistance from his team leader.

  • Manages daily priorities related to the logistics and operations of his clients’ couriers, and ensures all required documents are completed with precision.

  • Process required shipping documents with a high degree of accuracy. Tracks and traces the client’s courier and keeps him informed in real time of the status of his shipment.

  • Prepares proposals for clients based on all their specifications, validates terms, and obtains necessary approvals.

  • Liaises with the different parties. Proactively identifies potential problems and ensures the situations are resolved as quickly as possible, keeping the client informed and supporting him in finding solutions.

  • Ensures that operations requested by the client comply with transportation standards.

  • Offers the best solutions to clients and acts in a way that ensures their loyalty;

  • Analyze client requests and propose appropriate solutions.

  • Coordinates the client’s credit analysis with the Accounting Department.

  • Selects carriers and vendors according to clients’ needs and specified criteria.

  • Follows procedures established by the department.

  • Validates the method of payment with the client.

  • Suggest solutions when operations problems arise.

  • Complies with the SOP (client’s operating procedures).


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree Business Management or related fields

  • Five years experience in the logistics industry or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of its dynamics.

  • IT literacy to handle electronic data and a range of software for managing inventory.

  • Numeracy skills to handle cost and inventory calculations with ease

  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Commercial awareness to make logistical decisions that prioritise profitability

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
