We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our client, a good name in the food and drinks industry.
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing the transportation, distribution, and storage of supplies and goods for our restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee the transportation of supplies, equipment, and goods to and from the restaurant locations.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics activities.
Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and logistics activities.
Handle any logistics-related issues or delays in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with other departments, including operations and finance, to coordinate logistics activities and support overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, preferably in the restaurant or food service industry.
Strong understanding of logistics principles and best practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.
